Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc did not have to think long to identify the most dangerous player of Barcelona in the Champions League quarterfinal clash. According to the Frenchman, it is Lionel Messi, who has scored 45 goals in 44 matches this season. Mostly thanks to the striker, Barcelona is leading the La Liga championship and reached the final of the Spanish Cup.
"L. Messi is unstoppable. If a forward scores 40 goals, he considers the season poor," Blanc said. "However, we cannot focus only on the Argentine. We will have to solve the problem with team efforts, as individual defense is pointless here.
"We will have to play aggressively and hope to stop Barcelona's attackers in defense," the coach said. On Tuesday, French legend Eric Cantona suggested that PSG player Javier Pastore is the best on the planet, but Blanc was more cautious.
"He has a lot of potential and is becoming an increasingly important player in our team. He has matured a lot over the past few months," Blanc said.
