On Saturday, in the 25th round of the Spanish championship ("La Liga"), there were several unexpected results: the tournament leader "Barcelona" failed to beat the last place "Numancia" as guests, while in La Coruña "Deportivo" defeated "Real".

In the snow-covered Sorio, "Barcelona" could not find inspiration to play against the last place "Numancia", who even managed to take the lead after Juanlu's goal at the end of the first half. However, in the second minute of the second half, Rafael Marquez equalized the result and the match ended 1-1.

Although "Barcelona" scattered two points in this round, in the match held in La Coruña, the unimpressive "Deportivo" defeated "Real" without Ronaldo, Guti, and Salgado playing. Both goals of the match were scored at the beginning: in the 8th minute after Sergio's pass from the side, Albert Luque sent the ball into the net with a header, and four minutes later, the situation worsened for the visitors when Victorio scored an own goal from Pavon's cross. This second consecutive loss of "Real" in the Spanish championship allowed "Barcelona" to increase their lead to eight points.

In the other Saturday matches, "Mallorca" led by Hector Cuper, trying to climb out of the bottom of the table, had to admit the superiority of Valencia's "Levante" as guests, while Barcelona's "Espanyol" at least until today's match climbed to fourth place in the table, beating "Albacete" in 18th place.
