On Thursday, the new season of the UEFA Nations League kicked off. In the 4th group of Division A matches between two football nations - Germany and Spain - ours ended in a 1:1 draw. The first goal of the match was scored in the 51st minute by "Chelsea" newcomer Timo Werner, who put the Germans ahead. The Spaniards had to wait until the end of the match for the equalizing goal, but in the 96th minute Jose Gaya leveled the score and the teams shared a point.
In the same group, the Ukrainian national team also secured a victory, winning 2:1 against the Swiss at home. The Ukrainians started the match much more successfully, taking the lead in the 14th minute after an unusual goal by Andriy Yarmolenko. The Swiss equalized in the 41st minute, with a stunning long-range shot from Haris Seferovic. The hosts were gifted the victory in the 68th minute by a precise strike from Oleksandr Zinchenko. After this win, the Ukrainians became the sole leaders of the group.
