Legendary US soccer player Clint Dempsey has decided to hang up his boots.
The 35-year-old American has decided that the season with the Seattle Sounders team was his last in his career.
One of the best US soccer players of all time, he is the only American to have played in three World Cups (2006, 2010, 2014).
He made his debut for the US national team in 2004 and appeared 141 times. He is third in the national team in terms of appearances. Throughout his career, he scored 57 goals wearing the US jersey, making him the all-time leading scorer in the country.
He was also named the best US soccer player of the year three times.
Thank you it's been real.
