"Leicester" removed a two-goal deficit and only narrowly missed victory against "Arsenal"

O

n Sunday, intriguing English Premier League match of the 5th round took place at the "Vicarage Road" stadium.

London's Arsenal club, holding a two-goal advantage after the first half, narrowly avoided defeat against Watford. After a change of coach, the Hornets managed to reach a 2-2 draw.

Bottom-placed Watford team, who changed their coach last week, seemed to have to accept yet another bitter lesson from the match.

Arsenal had a perfect start to the match - in the 21st minute, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored to put the visitors ahead, and just 11 minutes later, the Gabonese player increased the lead to two goals with his second attempt.

However, Watford, having nothing to lose in the second half, received mercy from their opponents. In the 53rd minute, hope was restored as Sokratis, trying to pass the ball to Matteo Guendouzi, accidentally gave it to Tom Cleverley in the penalty area, who made a precise strike to beat Bernd Leno.

Spurred on by the taste of blood, the Hornets began to dominate the opponent's half and constantly posed a threat to their goal.

In the 79th minute, Arsenal's defense once again had a misunderstanding - David Luiz brought down an opponent in the penalty area and a penalty kick was awarded. Roberto Pereyra confidently converted the penalty kick to equalize in the match.

After wasting a two-goal lead due to childish mistakes, Arsenal could have ended up without points during extra time, when Abdoulaye Doucoure orchestrated a beautiful attack and after a pass from a teammate, struck the ball from about five meters. Luckily for Arsenal, the ball went straight into Leno's hands.

Arsenal team remains winless for the third consecutive match - a loss and two draws. They have a total of eight points on their account.
