"FC Copenhagen" confirmed that they have accepted a bid from "Leicester City" for 21-year-old defender Daniel Amartey.
The Ghanaian national team player has been with Copenhagen since 2014 when he moved to Denmark, playing 63 matches for the team. Now, he will soon finalize the details of his contract with the "Foxes."
"Copenhagen"'s executive director Anders Horsholt did not disclose the transfer fee, but admitted that the offer was too good to reject.
"We cannot turn down such a high transfer, as, generally speaking, it is the best decision for the "Copenhagen" club," said Horsholt.
"We were very happy to have Daniel in our ranks, but nurturing players to a level where they attract interest from the most powerful clubs ready to pay huge sums is part of our club and company strategy."
In a statement released by the club, Amartey thanked for his contribution to "Copenhagen"'s results, as well as the team's coach Stale Solbakken.
