„Leipzig“ team is ready to say goodbye to another talent. The sports director of the Bundesliga team, Oliver Mintzlaff, has stated that 21-year-old defender Dayot Upamecano must fulfill one condition if he wants to stay at the club. According to the manager, the Frenchman should extend his contract valid until next summer, otherwise, his career at „Leipzig“ will be over. „Upa is a crucial player for the team and one of the most promising talents in all of Europe. I believe he and the player's agent understand very well that we will not allow the athlete to leave the team for a bargain price. There can be no such case, so there are two options - sign the contract or leave. I think we will soon find out which way things are heading.“ Currently, D. Upamecano's contract includes a release clause of 60 million euros.
