„Leipzig“ team was not tempted by a huge amount offered by „Man City“ for one player. As reported by „Bild“, the English club tried to buy defender Josko Gvardiol for 80 million euros. However, the Bundesliga club refused to part ways with the 20-year-old Croatian and said „no“. J. Gvardiol has been part of „Leipzig“ for the past two years, when he was acquired from Zagreb's „Dinamo“ team for a total of 19 million euros. However, he spent his first season still in Croatia, and made his debut in the German championship last August."
