L.Enrique: I Will Step Down Myself If I See That Players Do Not Trust Me

Before the match of the Spanish championship against Madrid's "Atletico" held press conference, "Barcelona" coach Luis Enrique had to answer most of the questions from journalists about his relationship with the players.

There are rumors in the media that L. Enrique is primarily dissatisfied with the leader of the Catalan club Lionel Messi, who allegedly even demands the coach to be fired.

The "Barcelona" manager himself feels calm and confident.

"Lately, I hear a lot of different information. Clearly, some of it is released to the public just to harm the team without any truth in it. I really don't want to get involved in this dangerous game and give more fuel to the rumor-mongers," said Luis Enrique.

The coach assured that the mood in the team's dressing room is "completely normal," and the players still want to fight on the field.

"What I dislike the most is that my environment is being criticized. Because of that, I have to take responsibility and not shy away from it, but I don't lack motivation to work and prove my abilities. The day I feel that the team's players don't trust me, I will resign from my post. But for now, I see that all my players are working with the same passion as at the beginning of the season," noted the coach.

According to Luis Enrique, the pressure on the team from the outside is present throughout the entire season, and its strength often depends on one or several matches: "This is a daily thing. The pressure clearly increases after unsuccessful games. You only don't feel it when you win something."
