In the German „Bundesliga“ championship, Leverkusen's „Bayer“ club enjoyed a 5-1 away win against Frankfurt's „Eintracht“.
It was their 48th unbeaten match in this season out of a possible 48. In terms of unbeaten matches, they equalled the record holders, Lisbon's „Benfica“, who achieved this feat between 1963 and 1965.
The country's champions were led forward by Granit Xhaka in the 12th minute. Hugo Ekitike equalized the score in the 32nd minute. In the 44th minute, Patrick Schick scored a goal "into the net".
In the 58th minute, Exequiel Palacios doubled the score with a precise penalty from 11 meters. Jeremie Frimpong made it disturbing in the 77th minute, and in the 89th minute, Victor Boniface converted a penalty from 11 meters.
