LFF announced fines for the clubs "Šiauliai" and "Dainava © lff.lt

The Discipline Committee of the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF) made decisions regarding an incident during the TOPsport A League 9th round match on April 20 in Šiauliai.

Decisions were made, after which corresponding sanctions were applied to both clubs.

Regarding the Šiauliai team, the LFF Discipline Committee decided:

To impose a fine of 1,500.00 EUR (one thousand five hundred euros) on VŠĮ Football Academy "Šiauliai", which must be paid by May 26, 2024.

An appeal against this decision of the LFF Discipline Committee can be submitted to the LFF Appeals Committee in accordance with the Discipline Code no later than 7 (seven) days from the date of receipt of this decision. The appeal must meet the requirements set out in the Code.

Regarding the Alytus team, the LFF Discipline Committee decided:

To impose a fine of 2,000.00 EUR (two thousand euros) on VŠĮ Alytus Football Club Dainava, which must be paid by May 26, 2024.

To apply a sanction of playing matches without spectators to the team managed by VŠĮ Alytus Football Club Dainava, DFK Dainava, for the next 4 (four) closest matches in the 2024 LFF TOPsport A League Championship, whether playing "at home" or "away".

To instruct VŠĮ Alytus Football Club Dainava to inform the supporters of the team DFK Dainava about the sanction of playing matches without spectators, applied to both home and away matches of the Club's team DFK Dainava, and to ensure the enforcement of this decision.

To instruct VŠĮ Alytus Football Club Dainava to inform the teams participating in the 2024 LFF TOPsport A League championship, with whom the team managed by VŠĮ Alytus Football Club Dainava, DFK Dainava, will play upcoming away matches, about the sanction of playing matches without spectators imposed on the Club.

An appeal against this decision of the LFF Discipline Committee can be submitted to the LFF Appeals Committee in accordance with the Discipline Code no later than 7 (seven) days from the date of receipt of this decision. The appeal must meet the requirements set out in the Code.
