LFF Futsal Cup final - a stunning victory for "Kaunas Žalgiris

On Saturday, the final tournament of the LFF futsal cup quartet of the 2023-2024 season started at the Kaunas Sports Hall.

On Saturday, two semifinal matches were played, after which the future finalists were revealed. They became the footballers of Vilkaviškis "Brooklyn" and "Kaunas Žalgiris".

On Sunday, the final matches will start at 15:00 at the Kaunas Sports Hall, admission to them is free. Also, live broadcast of the matches will be available on the futbolas.tv platform.

However, both semifinals unfolded very differently - if in the first one the fans could see a lot of intrigue throughout the match, in the second one the stronger team did not raise any questions from the first minutes of the match.

"Brooklyn" in the match against "SPC-Radviliškis" had to chase their opponents, as the Radviliškis team took the lead 2:0.

The Vilkaviškis team soon equalized the deficit, but then the third blow fell into their goal and they had to destroy the two-goal deficit again.

"Brooklyn" did that in the second half when they scored two goals in three minutes and restored balance to the match. Benas Buzevičius then scored the winning goal and helped the Vilkaviškis team to reach the final by winning the match 4:3.

In the other semifinal, where "VGTU Vilkai" and "Kaunas Žalgiris" played, there was significantly less intrigue. The favorites, the residents of Kaunas, showed from the very first minute that they are considered favorites for a reason and already led 7:0 after the first half.

After the break, the game calmed down a bit, the hosts of the quartet added a few more goals, and at the end of the match Jonas Lebedevas scored a consolation goal for the Vilnius team. The final result - 11:1 in favor of the residents of Kaunas.
