LFF II league: minimal victory for Žalgiris and first win for "Fortūna © EF

On Monday, the tenth round of the LFF II league, which lasted for three days, ended. After it, the team "Jonava", which played a draw in the port city, dropped to the third position, and the team "Fortūna", which won its first victory, rose to the fourteenth position. "Dainavai" B and "Sūduvai" B could not score enough goals to earn at least one point.

Scorers

In three matches of the round, at least five goals were scored. Vilnius team "Vilčiai" performed the best, scoring five goals against "Saned". "TransINVEST" B won 4:2 against "Dainava" B, and "Šilutė" won a bigger drama against "Sūduva" B opposition.

The game between "Viltis" and "Saned" lost its intrigue in the 13th minute when Vaidotas Pajarskas scored the first goal from a penalty kick into the visitors' goal. After that, Vilnius team scored four more goals within a 29-minute interval, sealing the match. "Saned" also scored a consolation goal before halftime.

The leaders of the league, "TransINVEST" B players, maintained control of the game throughout all matches. They scored twice against "Dainava" B in the first half, allowed the guests to reduce the gap, then increased the lead again, and only allowed the opponents to rejoice after gaining a three-goal advantage through better play.

The youth of "Sūduva" B, who had ambitions to move up to the "TopSport First League", played a particularly poor period. Despite two goals from Justas Česnavičius and winning the first half 2:1, the team lost to "Šilutė". A decisive goal was scored by Rokas Rusys fifteen minutes before the end of the match.

Central Match

A week ago, the team "Jonava" defeated Kybartai's "Sveikata", on Monday it faced the second-placed team "Žalgiris" B. Strengthened by Romualdas Jansonas, Nikola Petkovičius, and Meinardas Mikulėnas from the A team, the players from Žalgiris scored a decisive goal in just over a minute.

M. Mikulėnas scored the winning goal, but the Žalgiris team finished the match with reduced numbers - Titas Stakėnas was forced to leave the field in the 84th minute after receiving two yellow cards.
