On Tuesday, the former coach of "Paris Saint Germain" team Vahid Halilhodzic, who was dismissed, will be replaced by former French national team defender Laurent Fournier.
40-year-old Fournier, who played for seven years from 1991 to 1998, signed a contract until the end of the season and this morning, after the introduction at a press conference, led the team's first training session.
Born in Lyon, Fournier ended his playing career in 1998 and started coaching at "Bastia", but was dismissed after a year. He later worked at a fourth division team, and recently coached the "P.S.G" reserve team.
Together with his former teammate Alain Roche, who became his assistant, Fournier's task is to lift the team out of crisis and return to the fight for a place in European competitions. Currently, the Parisian club is in 12th place in the "Ligue 1" championship.
