During the meeting of the LFF Licensing Committee on April 29, the issue of issuing UEFA licenses for the 2024-2025 season was discussed.
UEFA licenses were issued to all clubs who applied:
"Panevėžys"
Vilnius "Žalgiris"
"Šiauliai"
Vilnius region "TRANSINVEST" - a license was issued to this club based on the exemption granted by UEFA for the "3-year rule"
"Kaunas Žalgiris"
Marijampolės "Sūduva"
The UEFA Women's Champions League license was granted to the multiple-time national champion club "Gintra" from Šiauliai.
UEFA licenses are the last licenses granted to clubs this year. In total, 56 clubs and teams applied for the 2024 season UEFA A, I, II, and women's A league licenses, 53 of which were issued.
