„OGC Nice“ team officially presented their new coach. The new coach is Christophe Galtier, who triumphed last season in the French elite championship „Ligue 1“ with „Lille“. This transition may seem a bit unexpected, but the coach has been linked to the „Nice“ team for some time. Even after the triumph of „Lille“ in „Ligue 1“, it was clear that C. Galtier would leave the post of head coach of the French champions.

The reason for this is quite simple. „Lille“ club is not doing well financially, this summer they may have to sell a few players. Meanwhile, „OGC Nice“ club was recently taken over by new owners, so the project can really move forward and ambitions for this club will not be long in coming. It is also worth mentioning that C. Galtier's home is quite close to the city of Nice, which was also a significant factor for this strategist in choosing a new club.

For the 54-year-old coach, this will be his third club. Previously, he worked at the „Lille“ club for four years, and started his career at the „Saint-Etienne“ team, where he spent as many as 8 years.
