This weekend saw the fourth round of the French league, which was full of surprises and goals.
The biggest surprise was provided by the "Metz" club, which defeated the "Marseille" team and climbed to the top of the tournament table. Former "Basel" player Hervé Tumas performed brilliantly, becoming the hero of the match. After Tumas' goal in the 12th minute, "Metz" took the lead, but Peguy Luyindula equalized shortly after. And it didn't end there. Two more goals from Tumas and Stephane Borbiconi in the last 2 minutes secured the victory for the "Metz" club.
The evening match took place between last season's UEFA Champions League finalist "Monaco" and the "Lens" team. The first goal was scored by "Monaco" in the 11th minute. After a goal from former "Inter" striker Mohammed Kallono, "Monaco" took the lead, but Nicolas Gilletas equalized with 4 minutes left until halftime. No more goals were scored.
The most interesting encounter was between the "Nantes" and "Toulouse" clubs. After a goal in the 2nd minute, "Toulouse" took the lead. "Nantes" decided not to give up easily and equalized the score in the 33rd minute, but after 6 minutes, "Toulouse" scored again and won the first half 1-2. In the second half, "Nantes" players dominated, scoring another goal in the 88th minute to draw level.
Leading after four rounds is the "Metz" team with 10 points, followed by "Auxerre," "Lens," and "Toulouse" with 8 points each.
