Ligue 1: Hosts did not win a single game, "Lyon" lost to "Angers"

On Saturday evening, another six matches of the French Ligue 1 were played. Interestingly, four out of six games were won by the away teams, and two matches ended in a draw. In the battle for the second place, the championship newcomer "Angers" managed to secure three important points by defeating last year's silver medalist and one of the main competitors of this season, "Lyon", with a score of 2-0. Despite the fact that almost all statistical indicators were equal, and the home team, coached by Hubert Fournier, had more ball possession, Cheikh Ndoye's double allowed Angers to surprise French football fans once again. Thanks to this footballer, "Lyon" now dropped to fifth position. They were surpassed by the "Monaco" club, who defeated the "Bastia" team with a score of 2-1 in an away game. Lacina Traore's double secured the victory for Monaco representatives who had a slow start to the season. Meanwhile, "Angers" team lost their place behind "Paris Saint-Germain" to "Caen", who were defeated 1-2 by the "Lille" club. Interestingly, the latter team was in the relegation zone last week, but after earning three points in the match, they rose to twelfth place.
