Ligue 1: PSG defeated "Nice", "Monaco" fell to tenth place (VIDEO)

T

his weekend marks the fifteenth round of the French championship.

The defending champions "Paris Saint-Germain" and the mid-table "Nice" players were the first to enter the battle. Although a victory for Laurent Blanc's team, who were predicted to have an easy game at home, was expected before the match, the PSG players had to work hard.

The Parisians in second place only managed to beat their opponents by a minimal score thanks to Zlatan Ibrahimovic's penalty in the 11th meter.

In another match, the recently successful "Monaco" team, who recently secured an important and quite unexpected victory in the UEFA Champions League, could not match the performance of the "Rennes" club as they fell as guests. Aymen Abdennour sent the ball into his own net in the tenth minute, and not long after, Ola Toivonen doubled the lead.

No team was able to score more goals in over an hour. The previous season's vice-champion, "Monaco," fell to tenth place in the table, while "Rennes" temporarily climbed to fourth place.

The most productive match of the day was played in Toulouse, where the hosts lost 2-3 to "Lorient." Although they had a one-goal advantage in the first half, the "Toulouse" players conceded three accurate shots in their own net after the break. They managed to narrow the gap in the 70th minute, but the "Ligue 1" middle-tier team couldn't secure any more points. "Lorient," on the other hand, climbed out of the relegation zone.
