"Lille" goal almost killed team's fans (VIDEO)

The matches of the French Ligue 1 on Saturday not only delighted with beautiful and high-scoring goals. In one of them, a major tragedy occurred, after which almost thirty fans were injured, according to lrytas.lt.

Five of them needed serious medical assistance. They were taken to the hospital. It is reported that their lives are no longer in danger.

The unpleasant incident took place during the match between the home team "Amiens" and the visiting team "Lille".

The match was interrupted after just twenty minutes. Lille player Fode Ballo-Toure scored a goal and when running to celebrate with the team's fans, he could not withstand the front barrier separating the stands.

A pile of fans fell down and forced everyone in the stadium to stand up. Some of the fallen fans got back up and returned to their place, but those who fell first and were pressed by everyone else could no longer do so without the help of medics.

The tragedy caused a wave of outrage regarding security, but the hosts' team representatives stated that inspectors had inspected everything before the match, and the barrier itself was in excellent condition.

It was speculated that there were far more fans in the stands than allowed, and according to the "Amiens" team, more attention should be paid to fans traveling to events.

The "Amiens" club did not want to take responsibility for the tragedy, but after receiving a lot of criticism, they announced that actions would be taken regarding this incident. It is reported that local politicians will visit the hospital, visit the injured persons, and talk to them.
