Lithuania - in the fourth round of the European Championship qualifying basketball

On Tuesday, the UEFA Nations League group stage came to an end. Lithuania did not have a successful tournament - Edgaras Jankauskas' players lost all their matches and will play in Division D next year.

After last week's matches, the winners of all divisions and groups were determined, who will have the opportunity next summer to secure a spot in the 2020 European Football Championship without the need for an additional qualifying stage.

In Division A, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Portugal, and England triumphed in their groups. In Division B, Ukraine, Sweden, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Denmark celebrated first place finishes.

Scotland, Finland, Norway, and Serbia won in Division C, and Georgia, Belarus, Kosovo, and Macedonia secured victories in Division D.

In the Nations League, national teams had the chance to secure a place in the European Championship earlier, but the chances for both the Lithuanian national team and other teams to play in the Old Continent's championship are not lost.

The official start of the European Championship qualifiers will take place at the end of March next year, and the final will also be in March 2020.

UEFA has created six different pots. The Lithuanian national team is in the fourth pot, alongside teams like Hungary, Romania, and Greece.
