On a rainy Saturday in Lithuania, the 14th round matches of the "SMScredit.lt A lyga" were played.
At Marijampolė's "ARVI" stadium, the "Sūduva" footballers, supported by their fans, clashed with Panevėžys' "Ekranas". The A lyga champions secured a minimal victory with a score of 0-1.
The first half was balanced, the game was very fast-paced, but not very technical. Nevertheless, the minimal pressure from the Lithuanian champions was felt more.
In the 38th minute, the first goal of the match was scored when Aurimas Vertelis led "Ekranas" ahead after a precise pass from Donatas Petrauskas.
In the second half, the "Sūduva" players had nowhere to go and the footballers engaged in a relentless battle for three points, but despite the referee's whistle blowing, the result remained the same and the Panevėžys team celebrated a minimal victory.
In another match, Vilnius' "Žalgiris" faced Alytus' "Dainava". Once again, the hosts secured a crushing victory with a score of 7-0.
Four goals were scored by the "Žalgiris" players in the first half, and Vedran Gercas and a brace from Rytis Leliūga added three more in the second half.
