Lithuanian Club Team to Compete in Poland © EuroFootball.com

On Friday, the head coach of the Lithuanian national team, Algimantas Liubinskas, announced the lineup for the friendly match against the Polish national team. The match in Poland will take place on May 2 and will start at 20:00.

On May 2, the youth national teams (up to 21 years old) of Lithuania and Poland will also play, with the game scheduled at Kaunas S. Darius and S. Girėnas stadium at 18:00. The lineup for the youth national teams will be announced later.

Since the match day is not included in the FIFA schedule of friendly matches and many European national championships are currently in their final stages, Lithuania will be represented in the game against Poland by the national team consisting of players from "A League" clubs.

Therefore, many newcomers have been invited to the national team - such as the goalkeeper Paulius Grybauskas from Panevėžys "Ekranas", defender Algis Jankauskas from Vilnius "Vėtra", and midfielder Marius Kižys from "Šilutė", among others. In total, the lineup includes six players from "Ekranas", five from "Kaunas", four each from "Atlantas" and "Žalgiris", three from "Vėtra", and one player from "Šilutė".
