In the Scottish football championship, Lithuanian Marius Žaliūkas, representing the Edinburgh "Hearts" team, suffered a serious injury. The defender suffered a ankle injury.

"Hearts" lost 1:3 to "Dundee United" in their away match over the weekend, and the Lithuanian was forced to leave the field in the 18th minute due to injury. M. Žaliūkas was carried off the field on a stretcher.

Another Lithuanian, Arvydas Novikovas, was registered for the match but did not appear on the field according to the coach's decision.
