At the beginning of September, qualifying tournaments for the UEFA Women's Champions League will start. One of such tournaments will take place in Šiauliai, where "Gintra" will start, but there will be Lithuanian accents elsewhere.
Two Lithuanian referees are invited to work at a qualifying mini-tournament in Denmark from September 6-9, where four teams will compete for the only ticket to the next stage.
This is the main referee Jurgita Mačikunytė and assistant referee Irina Pozdejeva. They will work at the qualifying tournament in Denmark, where four teams will compete - the hosts "Køge" (Denmark), "KuPS" (Finland) - they will compete in one semifinal, while in the other semifinal "Klaksvík" (Faroe Islands) and "Spartak Subotica" (Serbia) will meet.
The winners of both semi-finals will meet in the decisive final matches of the qualifying tournament, while the losing teams will compete for third place.
At the same qualifying tournament, but in Norway, two more Lithuanian referees will work - referee Rasa Grigonė and assistant Ieva Ramanauskienė.
They will work at the qualifying tournament, where four teams will play for the only ticket - the hosts "Vålerenga", "Minsk" (Belarus), "Brøndby" (Denmark), and Glasgow "Celtic" (Scotland).
