"Liverpool" acquires promising defender from the Netherlands

First new recruit for "Liverpool" this summer is a 17-year-old midfielder from the Netherlands.

The "Reds" confirmed on their official website that they paid 2 million euros to the "PEC Zwolle" club for Sepp van den Berg. The Dutchman is expected to play for the first team.

"Unbelievable feeling. In my opinion, "Liverpool" is the biggest club in the world and coming here is a dream come true. I am excited at this moment," – shared the defender his impressions.

S. van den Berg made his debut in the main "PEC Zwolle" team this season and played 16 matches with their colors.

The transfer fee for the footballer may increase to 5 million euros in the future, but in order for this amount to go to the Dutch club, the defender will have to play 350 matches within "Liverpool".
