It seems that negotiations between "Liverpool" and Madrid's "Atletico" for forward Diego Costa will no longer take place, as the footballer has extended his contract with the Champions League winners.
Recently, there have been reports in the English press that the "Reds" are already preparing for the possible departure of Luis Suarez and will try to attract a forward from Brazil.
However, Brendan Rodgers has rejected this possibility and no longer wants to talk about the footballer, but he is convinced that by the end of the summer, Liverpool's team will be supplemented by several new players.
"I believe that Diego Costa has extended his contract with 'Atletico', so there is no point in talking about a possible arrival of this footballer in our team," the coach confirmed.
