Strategist Roy Hodgson would like to see striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar in his team, announces the English press.
However, the demanded compensation of 16.6 million euros from the Italian team seems too high for the English team, so they would prefer to initially rent the Dutch player.
The rent could cost around 3 million euros, and after a year Liverpool would have the opportunity to buy out Huntelaar's contract.
There is also the possibility that Ryan Babel's card could be used - the striker who has not managed to establish himself in the Liverpool team could move to Milan, thus reducing Huntelaar's price.
