"Liverpool" coach Brendan Rodgers confirmed at a press conference that Daniel Sturridge suffered a thigh injury during training.
The 25-year-old footballer trained with the team on Thursday and was ready to return to the field soon. However, after tests it was revealed that the Englishman has problems with his thigh.
"Daniel pulled his thigh," said B. Rodgers. "It seems that he will only be able to return to the field in two or four weeks."
"It's a painful news for us, as we were already preparing for Sturridge's return. Lately, he has been working intensively.
However, we have other good players who work hard, so we will ask for their help," concluded the "Liverpool" manager.
On Sunday, the English vice-champions will face QPR players in London.
