"Liverpool" coach Brendan Rodgers has announced that Raheem Sterling will extend his contract with the "Reds".
The promising 19-year-old player has already attracted the attention of Madrid's "Real" and Paris "Saint Germain" clubs.
It is said that the French would easily double Sterling's current English salary.
In December 2012, Sterling signed a five-year contract with "Liverpool", but it is said that the winger would like a much higher wage.
"Yes, I am completely confident (that the player will extend his contract with "Liverpool" - ed.). His agent is a good agent who understands that this is a great place for Raheem to continue his career," Rodgers said.
"The team manager has spoken with Sterling's representatives and he is quite calm about this issue".
