On Saturday evening, five more matches of the 3rd round of the English Premier League were played.
The most attention was drawn to the match at the "Emirates" stadium, where two former point-less teams - "Arsenal" and "West Ham" - met. The "Gunners" bounced back after conceding an early goal and eventually achieved their first victory of the season with a score of 3:1.
Unai Emery's side did not start the match very successfully - already in the 25th minute the "Hammers" gained the lead when Marko Arnautovic defeated Petr Cech from a difficult position.
However, "Arsenal" did not falter much after conceding a goal and equalized in the 30th minute when Nacho Monreal scored his first goal of the season after a great pass from Hector Bellerin.
In the second half, "Arsenal" played even better, but had to wait until the 70th minute for a goal. Alexandre Lacazette stopped the ball well in the penalty box and shot it into the opponent's defender, and the ball bounced straight into the "West Ham" goal.
The final point in this match was added in added time by substitute Danny Welbeck.
A sensational victory was achieved by "Leicester", defeating "Southampton" 2:1. The "Saints" played with ten men for a long time, but managed to hold on until the start of added time.
However, Harry Maguire was determined not to lose points and took a shot from about 25 meters, which ended up in the "Southampton" goal. The "Foxes" triumphed and added three points to their tally.
Another drama was recorded in the match between "Bournemouth" and "Everton". Two red cards were shown in this match, one of them to "Toffees" leader Richarlison.
The remaining match ended in a draw between "Huddersfield" and "Cardiff".
In the last match of the evening, "Liverpool" achieved their third victory out of three possible. Mohamed Salah's goal in the 23rd minute secured the win against "Brighton".
Jurgen Klopp's side have not dropped a single point so far and are celebrating the top position in the table.
