"Liverpool" club hopes to sign a contract with Lewis Holtby representing Schalke from Gelsenkirchen next summer. The 22-year-old footballer's contract with the German team will expire in June, so from the new year he can negotiate freely with other teams. Schalke currently does not intend to sell him, as they would receive a modest compensation of 7 million euros. Liverpool does not plan to sit idle and in January, with the opening of the winter transfer window, they have their eyes on two forwards valued at around 14 million euros: Darren Bent and Daniel Sturridge.
