"Liverpool" left with one healthy center-back, J. Klopp doesn't talk about possible newcomer

Two consecutive defeats at the "Liverpool" club are not the main problem - the team's center-backs fall one after another from the lineup.

In the FA Cup third round match on Monday, in which the "Wolves" eliminated the "Reds", another defender - Dejan Lovren, suffered an injury.

Jurgen Klopp confirmed that the Croatian suffered a hamstring injury, which is likely to prevent D. Lovren from returning to the field this month.

The "Liverpool" team now has only one healthy center-back - Virgil van Dijk. Joe Gomez is expected to return to the lineup at the end of January, while Joel Matip will not play for at least a few weeks.

Despite the team facing serious problems in defense, J. Klopp does not talk about a new signing in this position.

"England is probably the only country where it is believed that problems can be solved by acquiring new players. We have four center-backs. Now three, and maybe two and a half, are injured, but we will try somehow to get out of this difficult situation," said the coach.

It is believed that the temporary center-back pairing will be formed by V. van Dijk and Fabinho, who was tested in this position in the last match.
