„Benfica“ forward Darwin Nunez is nearing a move to „Liverpool“.  „The Athletic“ journalist David Ornstein reported that „Liverpool“ has reached an agreement with Darwin Nunez regarding personal terms.  Currently, the clubs still need to agree on the final fee. It is reported that the final fee should amount to 100 million euros, including bonuses.  This would be the most expensive acquisition in „Liverpool“ history.  However, the „Reds“ promise to offset this purchase by selling players like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Rhys Williams, Takumi Minamino, and Sadio Mane, who has expressed a desire to leave the team.   As for D. Nunez, the Uruguayan scored 26 goals and provided 4 assists in the Portuguese league season. In the Champions League, the „Benfica“ forward scored 6 times.
