The "Liverpool" team, trying to regain its past glory, is planning to shell out an impressive sum of money for talented Spaniard, but coach Jurgen Klopp's wishes will most likely throw a wrench into the works.
"Cadena Cope" and AS report that the "Reds" are offering Madrid's "Real" team as much as 50 million euros for attacking winger Marco Asensio.
The 21-year-old Spaniard shined in the Champions League quarterfinal series against Bayern Munich and was one of the key players for La Liga representatives.
However, "Real" coach Zinedine Zidane has his own opinion - he calls Asensio one of the future leaders and does not even consider other team's offers.
Last summer, the Spaniard signed a contract with the Madrid club until the summer of 2022.
This season, M. Asensio scored nine goals and provided three assists in 29 matches in all competitions.
