On Friday, the 33rd round of the English Premier League started.
The intensively fighting for the league title "Liverpool" club faced "Southampton" away. The hosts, who started the match excellently, did not give a gift to the "Man City" team - "Liverpool" achieved an important victory with a score of 3:1.
In the 9th minute, "Southampton" took the lead after a precise strike by Shane Long. However, by the 36th minute, "Liverpool" equalized - Naby Keita scored his first goal in the Premier League.
In the second half, "Liverpool" took control, but the "Saints" held on until the 80th minute.
It was then that "Southampton" had a corner, during which "Liverpool" organized a quick attack and Mohamed Salah, breaking through half of the field, finished with a goal that brought the visitors closer to victory.
"Southampton" tried to fight back and sent two attacking players into the mix, but the 86th minute marked the final point in this duel - Jordan Henderson scored after a pass from Roberto Firmino.
After the victory, "Liverpool" temporarily rose to the first position.
