It seems that Jurgen Klopp will have to reconcile with the absence of Leipzig's midfielder Emilio Forsberg from Liverpool.
In January, the 25-year-old Swede, linked to Liverpool, signed a new contract with Leipzig, who are performing well in the Bundesliga this season.
E. Forsberg had a contract with Leipzig until 2021, but today he signed an extension for another year. The new contract will include a much larger release clause and an increased salary.
"I am happy to have extended my contract for another year," said the attacking footballer. "I feel like I made the right decision and I want to achieve something special with this team."
This season, E. Forsberg has been in great sporting form. In the German league, he has scored five goals and provided nine assists in over 15 matches.
