„Premier“ newcomers „Fulham“ started the new season positively. Marco Silva's team showed character at home and played a 2:2 draw with „Liverpool“. In the first half, the hosts looked great, and Aleksandar Mitrovic put his team ahead with a header in the 32nd minute. In the second half, „Liverpool“ started to show more initiative and the score became equal in the 64th minute. Darwin Nunez equalized the score with an elegant shot after coming on as a substitute. However, „Fulham“ unexpectedly took the lead again. Aleksandar Mitrovic earned a penalty kick and confidently converted it himself. Nevertheless, Jurgen Klopp's team managed to equalize the score once again. Mohamed Salah scored a goal in the 80th minute to make it 2:2. In the remaining part of the match, the visitors had the initiative, but the game ended in a draw.
