36-year-old veteran James Milner's contract with Liverpool is set to expire next summer, but it is realistic that the long-time team player will be retained by the Reds for a longer period. Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Liverpool has offered J. Milner a one-year contract extension. Liverpool's manager Jurgen Klopp wants to keep the versatile midfielder who can play both in the defensive line and in midfield. Negotiations have already begun and the decision now depends solely on J. Milner, adds F. Romano. The veteran has won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and the Premier League with Liverpool since 2015.
