Greek national team striker Georgios Samaras has refused to extend his contract and will leave the Glasgow club.

The former "Heerenveen" and "Man City" footballer's three-year contract will expire at the end of the season. He will then become a free agent.

"Celtic" tried to extend the contract with the 25-year-old Greek, but Samaras was not satisfied with the conditions offered.

According to reports, two Spanish clubs are interested in him. Interest has also been shown by the English Premier League team "Liverpool."

However, it is unclear whether Samaras will leave the team already in winter when the transfer window opens, or at the end of the season.
