Unforgiven mistakes in the UEFA Champions League final made by Liverpool's goalkeeper Loris Karius have received an unexpected offer.
The 24-year-old German caught the attention of representatives from the "Rimini" team, who offered the player a chance to regain confidence in his abilities while playing in the third strongest league in Italy.
Karius' future in the ranks of the "Reds" is unclear - after the unbelievable fiasco in goal, coach Jurgen Klopp hopes to attract Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid) or Alisson (Roma) this summer.
Meanwhile, "Rimini," which has climbed to the third league this season with open arms, would welcome Karius.
"We have all faced similar moments, unfortunately, it happened to him while millions of viewers were watching. We want to help Loris recover and become an example of how to bounce back. On June 22, he will celebrate his birthday and on this occasion, we offer him a one-year contract. In our club, he will regain peace of mind and gain confidence in his abilities.
Of course, it will not be a walk in the park, as he will have to face the competition of the excellent goalkeeper Francesco Ciccio in our ranks. But here he will find a large family and a city that will support him in becoming one of the best goalkeepers in the third league," said club president Giorgio Grassi.
