Interestingly, this political situation was also included in Lionel Messi's contract. The Argentine recently signed a new agreement with Barca, valid until 2021. "El Mundo" reported that an independent Catalonia could risk losing the leader of the Barcelona club, L. Messi. In Messi's contract, there is a condition that he will have the opportunity to leave Barca completely undisturbed. Of course, this is hard to imagine, but such a possibility exists, and Barcelona is not sure if it will immediately be able to play in the most powerful European tournaments, especially the UEFA Champions League, after regaining independence. However, it is emphasized that if Barcelona remains in the same Spanish leagues or joins other leagues of countries such as England or France, L. Messi will not have such an opportunity.
