In the coaching staff of Moscow - changes. Former coach of the Lithuanian national team, Jose Couceiro, has been fired, and he will be replaced by the famous Croatian Slaven Bilic.

The new specialist, who signed a three-year contract, will start working after the European Championship, where he will lead the Croatian national team. Bilic has already announced that he will resign from his position after the tournament.

The official reason for terminating the contract with 49-year-old Couceiro is poor results. The team did not spare money to acquire new footballers and finished only in seventh place in the Russian Championship.

However, the Portuguese himself insisted that he was leaving Moscow by mutual agreement, as it was decided several weeks ago, giving the club time to find a replacement. "I am proud to have had the opportunity to coach such a respected team with a proud history, and now I am looking forward to taking on a new project," he said.

As for Couceiro's assistant, former Lithuanian national team striker Edgaras Jankauskas, his future is currently undisclosed.
