Longest Unbeaten Run of English Clubs

This week, "Man City" footballers extended the club record, not losing in 22 consecutive matches.

The English media decided to look at the longest unbeaten streaks of teams in this country in all tournaments.

Among the best clubs, the famous "Liverpool", "Arsenal" and "Man Utd" impressed.

However, the "reds" played impressively a long time ago - it happened in 1982, when on March 17th, Liverpool's team lost 0:2 to Sofia CSKA away and since then played without defeats for 22 league, 2 European Cup, and one "Charity Shield" matches.

"Arsenal" stumbled in 2007 from April to November when finally Arsene Wenger's team was forced to capitulate 1:3 against "Sevilla" club. However, the "gunners" did not benefit from wins and remained without trophies.

The "Red Devils" rewrote the team's history at the end of the last century when from December 1998 to August 1999 did not experience defeat for 33 consecutive matches. "Man Utd" won the "treble" and was stopped by "Arsenal" club, who triumphed 2:1 in the "Charity Shield" match.

In first place - the legendary "Nottingham Forest", playing excellently from March to December 1978 and winning the League Cup and the country's championship gold.
