On Tuesday, the sister of former footballer and current Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso, Francesca, passed away. She was 37 years old. The woman had been in intensive care since February when she felt unwell and needed emergency surgery. The exact nature of her health problems is not disclosed. G. Gattuso's sister worked as a secretary for the AC Milan team, and the club itself expressed its condolences. "We share the pain with Gennaro and his family. Rest in peace, dear Francesca," the statement reads. G. Gattuso learned about his sister's health condition at the beginning of February during the match with Sampdoria. He immediately skipped the mandatory press conference after the match and rushed to his sister.
Francesca Gattuso faced her illness with the same energy and vitality with which she lived in Milanello and with Milan every day. Rino, your immense grief and that of your family is also ours. Rest in peace dear Francesca. pic.twitter.com/h6CEFrzAUz - AC Milan (@acmilan) June 2, 2020
