Joachim Loew, the coach of the German national team, claims that he is certain that Michael Ballack will play at least two more matches for the national team and will surpass the symbolic 100-match milestone.
The Leverkusen "Bayer" player suffered a serious injury in May and missed the World Cup. At the beginning of the new club season, he again fell out of the lineup.
However, Loew insists that the 34-year-old veteran will still be needed by his country: "I hope Michael reaches the 100-match milestone because he has been a true ambassador for his country for many years.
"He does not deserve to end his career this way. Ballack will fight for the opportunity, as he is not one to give up easily."
