Germany's national team and team striker Lukas Podolski has hinted that he wants to represent another club next season and is very close to transferring to it.
The 20-year-old striker is considered one of the most talented young German footballers and is preparing to represent his country in the upcoming World Cup in his homeland. Meanwhile, his current team, "Köln," failed to remain in the "Bundesliga" this season and will have to play in the second German football division next year. This is the main reason why Podolski wants to leave the club.

Earlier reports had indicated that the Royal Madrid "Real" officials also want to see the striker in their ranks next season. However, the player himself publicly stated that he wants to wear the "Bayern" kit as soon as possible.
"I have already told my club's leaders that I want to play for the Munich team and I hope I made the right decision," Podolski said.
According to the "Bayern" club officials, they have already reached an agreement with the player's agent regarding a future contract, so now they just have to agree with "Köln" on the transfer fee. It is expected that all transfer formalities will be completed by July 1st.
