The famous Uruguayan Luis Suarez confirmed that last summer he was hunted by Madrid's "Real" team, but after much thought he decided to choose "Barcelona".
"Yes, I talked to representatives of the royal club, but I said 'later'. They wanted me, but I dreamed of being here," the striker said.
"When I heard the name 'Barcelona', I didn't hesitate for long. Honestly, I never imagined that the Catalan team would offer me a contract," Suarez rejoiced.
The €81 million forward continued:
"You never know what will happen in football, but I was lucky to join the club I had long dreamed of."
Suarez, who has already scored 16 goals for Barcelona, helps the team move towards a historic achievement - triumph in the Spanish championship, the national cup tournament, and the Champions League.
"I'll tell you frankly, in the locker room we don't talk about the 'treble'. We have to think only about the upcoming matches, because every game is difficult," he said.
