Former teammate of Philippe Coutinho, Lucio, believes that the attacking midfielder of "Liverpool" could become the best football player on the planet in the future. However, according to him, a move to a stronger club could diminish this opportunity.
The 23-year-old Brazilian, who took the reins of the Merseyside team under Jurgen Klopp, has been shining even more.
It is not surprising that the player has recently attracted the attention of "Barcelona", who triumphed in the UEFA Champions League.
"I am happy that he is doing well in the ranks of 'Liverpool'," Lucio told Sky Sports.
"He has the potential to become the best player in the world - I have no doubt about that. However, it all depends on himself. He can still improve a lot."
"His marriage and family have a positive influence on everything he does. His mindset is ideal."
Speaking about a possible move of Coutinho to "Barcelona," Lucio added:
"I think it is his personal decision. 'Barcelona' has many great footballers, so he could shine there too."
"If he wants to become the best, 'Liverpool' is a great place for that. He has space here and can play wherever he wants."
