Today, the leaders of a Spanish club revealed that they have reached an agreement with the winners of the 2003-2004 Champions League, a Portuguese team, for the acquisition of 24-year-old forward Luis Fabiano.

Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido said that they will sign a contract with the Brazilian player for five years: "We have signed a document with the Portuguese team according to which the player will represent the team of the city of Seville for five seasons."

The forward is still in Portugal, but he will arrive and be officially presented to the team's fans on Friday.

Sevilla will purchase 35 percent of the rights to Fabiano and will have the option to acquire him completely in the next two years.

Del Nido also added that Bordeaux goalkeeper Camel Meriem could end up in the Sevilla team: "He is on our radar."
